The government of the Democratic Republic of Congo has produced a check for $2.5 million, written to the United Nations Development Programme and earmarked for Haiti earthquake relief efforts. Prime Minister Adolphe Muzito handed it over to UN Special Representative Alan Doss today in Kinshasa. There's no word yet on whether the check actually cleared.
