"Africa is, indeed, coming into fashion." - Horace Walpole (1774)

socialist apocalypse watch

Well, it's been a full week since Barack Hussein Obama was elected president of the United States of America, and so far, there are no reports of horsemen making mischief, collectivization of farms isn't progressing at all, and Iran hasn't hit Israel with a nuclear bomb. If that doesn't make for a successful transition, I don't know what does.

The only suspicious signs and wonders I've noticed thus far have to do with some strange activity out in Lubbock, where it appears that the last are headed to becoming first, but I'm sure it's just a matter of time until that gets straightened out by our frenemies in Norman. No need to panic, America.

Give me a lackluster 14-13 OU victory, please.

I have been fortunate enough to be there in person to see the last become first and I love that Longhorns are rooting for the land thieves next Saturday. And if I'm not mistaken, and I'm not, Tech definitely beat Texas before election day. That's not apocalypse, that's just one team beating the other. That's all that is.

A more appropriate description would be that the third become first. I mean Baylor and A&M are waaaay behind us.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, Cody, enough with the inflammatory language. No one is "rooting" for OU. We're just, you know, hoping that it all works out according to God's plan. :)

Michael, fair enough.

You may not be "rooting" but I've heard plenty of smack from UT fans here that they are going for OU (they went for OSU last week too). I don't think REAL Horn fans can ever root for OU even if it helps them. It's just not natural.

Austin should be pulling for a rematch in Miami.
