My five year old daughter has mastered the art of filling in the bubble beside the answer she has chosen. She's been in school for less than three months and she is more capable than the majority of people whose ballots are shown there. As for the rest of the ballots, the people who challenge a stray pen mark the size of a period as being the "true intent" of the voter fall into the same class as the earlier voters.

Exactly. But don't you find it a little bit frightening that Lil'E is already learning how to take standardized tests?

DARN! If only I had known I could have voted for "Lizard people" for everything ... oh well, guess there's always 2010.

I just have a hunch that some of these ballots w/ stray lines, doubled ovals, whatever may well fall into the category of either elderly or first-time voters. Perhaps we should be a little less critical...
