ending abortion

[As another scholar argued], "...it hasn't worked to vote Republican over the past 30 years in the hope for a Supreme Court that would vote to reverse Roe v. Wade."

A very interesting commentary from a Catholic liberation theologian.

"But providing a better social and economic climate reduces the rate of abortions, as happened under the administration of pro-choice Democrat Bill Clinton. Despite a pro-life Republican president over the past eight years, the Guttmacher Institute reports that the rate of abortion among low-income women is increasing."

How can someone claim to know what will reduce abortions when they can't even get their facts straight on abortion rates over the last several years. I think I know. It's because they really care more about their liberal ideology than the facts. It's not like these facts are hard to find. Any halfway educated high schooler can look them up.

As a professor, I'm surprised you would link to an article by such an obviously ignorant and partisan person. I would have expected a more factual and better reasoned argument.

I believe he was talking about the abortion rate among poor women, the percentage of which has risen under Bush.

The Washington Post is not an invalid source; they have factcheckers. But of course he's biased. I mentioned that he's a liberation theologian.
