tacky, tacky, tacky

I don't think I could vote for a ticket with Hillary Clinton's name on it.

Is it just me? Or are all the media pundits who are promoting the "dream team" as deluded and out of touch with reality as I think they are?

No, I think they just need a story.

Let an old cynical political observer make a prediction. (Probably has as good a chance of coming true as most of the predictions the astrologers give out on a daily basis.)
Obama allows Hillary to share the ticket. Sometime after the convention much closer to November (October suprise?) something about Obama comes out to either disqualify him or completely turn most voters off. Hillary moves to the top of the ticket. (Much smarter than the "You never know what might happen in June", idea)
Far fetched? Not really.

Charlie,

What about this scenario. Clinton joins the ticket as VP. McCain surrogates run an anti-Hillary campaign to mobilize their base. McCain wins by a landslide.

Result: The media pundits are disappointed to belatedly discover that Obama-Clinton '08 is a pipe dream not a dream team.
