"Africa is, indeed, coming into fashion." - Horace Walpole (1774)

but obama has the oncologists

When you give money to a political campaign, the Federal Election Commission collects data on your donation that becomes a matter of public record. Part of that data includes your occupation, which is self-described. Here's an awesome list of which parties people in different occupations have been giving to in this election cycle. In what I'm sure is a shocking shift in group support for a candidate, it appears that Ron Paul has finally managed to corner the support of the wizard demographic.

I have no idea if this site is a real site that conducted a real survey or if they are just having fun. Either way, I have two thoughts:

1. I was surprised that CEOs gave to the Democrats at such a high rate.

2. 100% of pastry chefs gave to the Democrats. Now, I can't wait for the study that blames American obesity on party ID.

Oh, it's real. Apparently someone at Huffington Post did it. Poor interns.

I think CEO's are pragmatic. It's the Democrats' year, and unless they majorly mess up, in this economy and with the public's perception of the war, they're going to win. My guess is they're giving to the side they think will win, not the side they necessarily want to win.
