It's a wonderful piece and yes, it is "church" just as "church" is found lots of other places where human need is not quite so basic, not quite so desperate....When Teresa of Avila issued her "Christ has no body, no hands, etc" she never meant that its all up to us, which is how I think this gets misused....This wonderful pastor was clearly implying that when he was "present" to his people, when he interpreted the Scriptures, when he prayed, hope was born....but I think, just speculating here, that it was not his "Christ has no hands" theology, but it was his "God working through him" theology, providing hope through the loving presence of this wonderful pastor...I'm just saying....we act way too often like it IS all up to us....and we're just not all that wonderful to be able to carry the burden of being the "body, hands, feet of (poor old) Christ who is helpless without us..." NOT
