"Africa is, indeed, coming into fashion." - Horace Walpole (1774)

"a month of sundays"

Here's an interesting read for those of you who are trying to figure out how to get the young, hip types who don't go to church into your churches. Here's a hint: what you see as "seeker-friendly" can be a bit off-putting to those outside of the fold.

Wow, what a fascinating survey -- I'd like to see that done in Austin.

well, they certainly didn't censor their perspectives in any way, did they? That was refreshing...even if jolting...outside, it makes little or no sense...but something is happening inside that makes it meaningful for folks in those 30 chruches...I know Plymouth Congregational well and they are w/o a pastor, (their former one was brilliant) thus the "multiple meditations...but how would anyone know that...and how DO you make diversity happen? I've always found some irony in the "Sunday morning is the most segregated hours of the week" statement...which it is, of course....but I suppose that meanst that therefore, non-whites should leave THEIR churches?...Because why?.....Because ours are better????...Or, we should leave ours?....it's a difficult dilemma...The article intrigued, depressed and challenged me...thanks TinA
