texas politics at the forefront

Wow. Someone at the New York Times wrote a coherent, even prescient, piece on the Texas Democratic primary.

In other news, that 20,000 people were at Friday's Obama rally is far from clear. Apparently nobody really knows, beyond the fact that there were definitely 6,000 people in the area where we were.

I couldn't see very well on Friday night, but my estimate then was somewhere between 10-15,000. Who knows?

That actually was a good piece. I like the word "primacaucus".

I heard someone recently suggesting making California the first primary state. They're reasoning was that the diversity of the state would prevent candidates from making outrageous promises to one group to win their vote, only to later promise the opposite to others. Texas would be a similar thing.

Right, but do you really want California having that much influence? I mean, some of my best friends are Californians, but politics in that state is NUTS. Almost as crazy as here in God's country. :)

THINK AGAIN AMERICA! Adolf Hitler rose to power because of his orations and speeches. Jim Jones was a preacher whose followers drank poisoned kool-aid because of his ‘words’ Obama’s has ties to Louis Farrakhan and Obama’s church promotes black supremacy and anti-Semitism. You don’t get elected in Chicago playing nice. I need to elect someone with a proven background! And who is giving him all his donations?
