"Africa is, indeed, coming into fashion." - Horace Walpole (1774)

found your candidate?

A student alerted me to the existence of this Senate campaign. The candidate's primary positions are restoring Texas' independence and enacting "Biblical Law."

Who'd've thought someone could make Cornyn look like the reasonable choice?

I tried to view this guys website at work. Here is the message I got:

Your organization's Internet use policy restricts access to this web page at this time.

Reason: The Websense category "Militancy and Extremist" is filtered."

Go ahead, laugh.

I keep saying I'm in favor of Texas independence the year of presidential elections because it takes away 32 Republican electoral votes. The last stint as an independent republic only lasted nine years. Things move faster now -- I give it 9 months, tops, before we're back in the folds. Small sacrifice to make, I believe.

What does this guy have against Australia? There's no need to get mean to our friends down under.

See, that's the genius of this campaign - who's against Texas?

David, I don't think he has anything against Australia, just that he wants to show that Texas is a viable country.
