Hope you enjoyed the virtual presents!

I understand that they are used extensively in hospitals with premature babies, who cannot be touched nearly as often. Makes more sense, then; but it is still vaguely disturbing.

I don't know about wrong, but definitely creepy!

Speaking as one with small ones, I highly advocate swaddling. The grandparents grimaced at how tightly we bundled up the twins, but they slept like ... well, like babies. Never needed the Zaky.

Euphrony, that makes a lot more sense. The marketing was what scared me, but it's not the least bit surprising in a world of overprotective parents. I have sneaking suspicion that there's a connection between parents who won't put their babies down and the sense of entitlement I see among my students...
