"Africa is, indeed, coming into fashion." - Horace Walpole (1774)

Drew Smith has a very thoughtful column on what it means to be truly pro-life over at Ethics Daily today.

I am a Christian, a Baptist, and retired sped elementary school teacher (and an Okie who has given you a hard time about OU). I am TOTALLY frustrated with the pro-life/pro-choice discussion. In the past when discussions concerning abortion have taken place and I am a participant, I finally starting saying, (to both groups) "Tell me what you are "doing" to make a difference in the lives of kids, single moms, etc. I will listen to this gentleman from Arkansas because he seems to be truly "prolife"!

(I am actually and OSU fan.)

Judy, exactly. I want to know why so many hard-core pro-life activists haven't adopted.

And this blog is ecumenical. All faiths (even those of schools north of the Red River) are welcome! :)

I know a lot of people who identify as prolife and have adopted, including "hard-to-place" kids.

And/or who devote themselves to pregnant women, already-born children, and other precious lives in many other ways.

I agree that the focus needs to be on getting things done to alleviate the reasons why women have abortions.

You all might find this interesting, this abortion-reducing effort I'm involved with:
