I am losing my sanity. Not to mention my productivity.
Perhaps I should explain. This is the last week of classes. Finals are next week, and then it will all be over for another year. Naturally, because finals are next week, everyone tries to cram every reception, commemoration, and hootenanny into this week. When everyone's papers are due, and when everyone's dissertation advisor wants one more piece of information or another explanation of this, that, or the other. Preferably en Francais.
It's good times. Between this moment and Saturday night, I have seven luncheons, receptions, dinners, gatherings, and parties to attend. Seven. Four of those are today (They are, in order, an end-of-year luncheon, an end-of-year departmental party, an end-of-year dinner, and a bbq for D-line's rommate, who is headed off to the big city for an internship with Conan.), then one end-of-year dinner/reception tomorrow, then two events on Saturday evening. That's not counting the Habitat for Humanity build all day Saturday, or needing a Sunday school lesson, or the fact that I have to write a final before 9am on Monday, and should have started grading finals by Sunday afternoon.
No wonder I'm tired.
