Couldn't you also use this argument to say that for baptized Christians it doesn't matter whether you marry a person of the same or different sex than you because we are all the same?

I completely agree with the point of this sermon, of course, but it makes me nervous when we take Pauline doctrine out of context and use it in a manner in which it wasn't intended. (After all, we all know what Paul thought of women. It's primarily his legacy we have to blame for the resistance of the Church to women leadership.)

I suppose you could make that argument, in a roundabout way. But I think it makes a difference that this is dealing directly with a question of calling, and of membership in the body of Christ.

But is he really taking Galatians 3 out of context?
